What's Going On??!!!

It's gotta be spring time in Cincinnati when they open the gates of Kings Island!! And they couldn't have picked a better weather day to invite the media out to test ride "Diamondback" the brand new 230 ft. high, 80mph fast, steel coaster that opens to the public tomorrow (saturday 4/18)!! I love roller coasters...so I expected big things out of Diamondback...and yes, it delivered! What makes it different? It's the smoothest ride I've ever encountered on a coaster....and the drops just keep comin' at ya...just when you expect to level out! The oddest sensation is the car you ride in itself. It kind of looks like those modified shopping carts for kids at the grocery store. You lock in low on your waist...with nowhere to put your arms but down in front of you near your knees. I think that is a big part of the nervous sensation...as your whole upper body is flying loose in the wind! And wow...is it FAST! It's a great companion to the other coasters at Kings Island. But, in my opinion....nothing will EVER compare to the Beast...which by the way turns 30 this week! Take in Diamondback and the Beast this weekend to celebrate the anniversary..and it will be a ride to remember!

I know some offices and workplaces frown upon "March Madness" on the job...but can you blame us? We just survived another cold, boring winter in the tristate and some competitiveness should do us all some good! So we fill out our "brackets" whether that be doing some real hoops homework, going with the cooler team uniform, mascot...or just being lazy and picking the highest seed!! For you novices...that rarely works to get you to the finals!! Then we watch the games during our lunch hours...or secretly on the cbs website at our desks...I promise I won't tell!! Some workplaces really get into and...

How Men Can Survive...No, THRIVE This Valentine's Day!

There is a horribly confusing holiday looming on the horizon that is only days away.  It has boggled the minds of men for decades and is feared weeks, even months before it arrives.  That holiday is Valentine's Day. Why is it such a difficult holiday for men to successfully navigate?  Because of the underlying definition of romance that women live by, which is "performing an ordinary act of love or kindness AT AN UNEXPECTED TIME."  What is unexpected about Valentine's Day? It sits ominously on the calendar blinking at us like the...

Bobbi's Bio

Bobbi Maxwell is another of the "home-grown" members of the WARM 98 Airstaff. Having grown up in the West Chester area, she attended the Lakota School district, where she made the early decision to get into the broadcasting field after seeing an "easy credit" opportunity by taking the high school's Radio Broadcasting I course. Little did she know the microphone would become her bread and butter as well as music her passion.

Bobbi also briefly attended Miami University/Middletown, but not long enough to become a full-fledged Redhawks fan... her closet is instead filled with UC Bearcats logos...after being a long-time season ticket holder, even through the lean years!

She is also a single mom of two daughters, Dana and Hannah, and resides on the east side of town.

Bobbi's time away from the station is usually spent with her girls, her extended family of eight brothers and sisters, or with her yellow lab puppy, Marley and cat, Lucky !

Bobbi also loves to read, garden, go to yard sales, concerts and movies, as well as travel and of course, listen to music!
