Morning all!

Hope you're off to a great day so far....crank up the AC though, we're having a heat wave!

Okay, so i really didn't care to continue the weather conversation thing, but after last night, i have nothing else to talk about.  In a nutshell, power outages are boring, especially when they last 12 hours.  In a neighborhood where things are alive, people are out running, walking, jogging, skipping, hopping, walking their dogs & allowing them to poop in my yard, you'd think it was the end of civilization after last night.

I got home around 6ish, and we were in a rush cooking dinner (good thing we used the grill last night) becuase the storm was already here.  6:30ish...bye duke energy, see ya later!  After it was dark, not only did it seem like we weren't the only street without power, but it seemed as if most of Hyde Park/Mt. Lookout was without power.  Typically, even if power is out, you can always see the night glow from Mt. Lookout square and neighboring streets, but not last night.  The only glow in the area was coming from all the candles Karen lit in our house......some scents i may recall from last night are..Mountain Water Mist, Tripple Coat Vanilla, & the ever so pleasant Smooth Blueberry Surprise.  She must have lit 10 candles.

I don't know if you had a power outage last night, but needless to say, everyone kinda took the night off in our area.  Hardly any cars went by, no signs of human or animal life, just candles.  Even the two neighborhood racoons Henderson & Clyde opted for take-in dinner last night.  I actually enjoyed the peace and quiet - slept like a baby!  Anyhow, I know nearly 200 thousand tri-staters lost power last night, so if you had an unforgettable experieance, shoot me an email and tell me about it.

BTW, we're closing in on the weekend, one more day to go, and this coming weekend on Warm 98, we'll have Famous Father's Trivia for John Mellencamp tickets for you to win for dad on father's day.  Any Mellencamp show is awesome!  Listen for more details this week, and good luck!

Remember, turn up the AC today as it's gonna get "Warm"!

C-ya tomorrow,

CL
